Sa-Ri-Ka Waterfall

Sa-Ri-Ka Waterfall

The main fall at Sarika      Nam Tok Sarika is a beautiful 9 level waterfall. During the rainy season, the water flows bountifully from the mountains. In the dry season, the fall usually dries up to a trickle. It is a very popular water play area. During the rainy season, Thais flock from nearby Bangkok to revel in the cool, refreshing water.
At the entrance to the falls is a parking area with restaurants and shops to provide for the many Thai visitors. You can buy souvenirs, handicrafts and clothes. Although these are tourist shops, they are aiming at the Thai market so the prices are much more competitive than you will find at the western tourist resorts.
From the parking area, you walk 400 meters to the base of the falls. The water flows over rocks and through forest. There are some grassy areas that are ideal to set up base and have a picnic.
From here, you can walk up the 9 levels of the fall. The water tumbles over the rocks and there are many drop pools where you can take a refreshing dip in the cool mountain water. Small fish swim in the water and they will take food straight from your hands.
If you walk all the way to the top, you come to the main fall. The top of this fall is 200 meters above the 9th level. Here the water falls into the deepest drop pool and you can have a truly invigorating swim under the falling water
                              .
Another point of interest here is Sarika Cave. The revered monk "Luang Pu Man" resided and meditated in this cave during his religious missions from 1917 to 1920. Today monks and nuns still reside within the cave. You can look around the cave and there is a small temple at the top of the hill.
The area is part of Khao Yai National Park and they usually collect an entrance fee, which is 100 baht for foreigners.

How God responds my life?

How God respond my life? This is a question I like to ask myself. I believe that He is my God. And I heard a lot of people talk about God. God is my life. He blesses me and with me. When I was wrong or did something bad. I like to play to Him and so sorry about that and He forgives me. When I am discouraged or afraid I pray to Him to help me feel better. Anyway, I like to pray every day because I believe that God will help. I trust and respect Him.
One day, I got some trouble about my computer. My parent said I spend to much time for computer like I'm not a part of family. And I agree with their opinion because I really use computer to much and like to live alone in my room. So they made rules for me about computer, and I didn't agree with some of those rules. I was so mad at them and i didn't talk with them again. After that I pray to God to help me to get every thing better, to help my parents understand me because I have to use computer for homework, and help me to understand them, obey parents. And after the day I prayed, my parents came talk to me that I can use my computer in enough time. And I obey all the rules, so everything get better.
Now I really love God and I know He love me`!!

My life

I'm Melissa, but my real name is Chanraem. It is my Thai name but it is hard for American people to say my name so, they just call me Melissa. I am sixteen years old now. I'm Thai and now I live in America to study. I am a exchange student from Thailand and live with a host family. My life is so busy for study because I study in U.S and they speak English. I been here for four month ago and I might live here for four years to finish my study. So, I can not speak English of all. That is why my study is hard. I have to study harder than other people. I work hard at night, do my homework, study for quiz and test that I have every day at school. But I think I do every think best that I can do. Sometimes I'm tire and feel lonely because I'm worry about study. Sometimes I'm homesick, miss my mum in Thailand, friends, or my old school in Thailand. When I am homesick I called mum and talked with her. Now, I am in 9th grade at LCS. I like to study Math because I like math. So I can say my life is busy, but it is also have a good time to live in U.S. When I get bore or tire from work or study I like to draw or listen to music. They make me feel better. My friends at school are nice to me and help me sometimes. Now I like U.S but also miss Thailand.
I have one brother and I  have a sister from host family, she is Korean. However, my life just have a lot to do, but I also have fun too!. I like to study and read although it make me tire, but also help me to happy from study. So I love to study!!!

Salto Angel Waterfall

Salto Angel Fall

Country: Venezuela
Location: Canaima National park
River: Gauja (Rio Gauya), tributary of Rio Churún. The last in turn is tributary of Rio Caroni. The name - Gauja - to the river has been given by Latvian Alejandro Laime, who was the first to reach this waterfall by land. The other Gauja river is located in Latvia - in fact it is among the most beautiful rivers of Latvia. Often there is made mistake by telling that this waterfall is on Rio Churún.
Height: 979 m
Other information: At the lower part the waterfall is 150 m wide. Europeans discovered the waterfall in 1935. Waterfalls is named after James Angel - American adventurer, who had to make an emergency landing with his plane nearby in 1937.

Angel Fall is highest fall in the world. It plunges 3,212 feet, with the longest single drop of 2,648 feet (979m/807m) from the top of a mesa, or what the natives call a Tepuyi. Named "Auyantepui", the Angel Falls mesa is one of over a hundred of its kind which are scattered about the Guiana Highlands of southeast Venezuela. Like so many slumbering giants, what characterizes these mesas (Tepuys) is their massive heights soaring up towards the sky, each with a flat top and totally vertical sides (check out the picture at left). Also called "table mountains" (which accurately describes their shapes) these Tepuys were formed out of sandstone billions of years ago. Their vertical sides are continually being eroded by the action of water from the heavy rainfall the Guiana Highlands gets.
